Week 120 - Furyk's 58 and Olympic Golf Preview

On the show this week, we have a review of our own games and our preparation for our biggest club event of the year, The Captain's Prize. We talk about Nike's exit from the golf equipment market and talk about possible ramifications for their current stable of Pros including our own Rory McIlroy.

We review the The Aberdeen Asset Management Paul Lawrie Matchplay on The European Tour won by Anthony Wall and The Travelers Championship on The PGA Tour won by Russell Knox, and which will forever be remebered for the fantastic and historic 58 shot by Jim Furyk - the first 58 in PGA Tour history. 

To wrap up the show, we preview The John Deere Classic on The PGA Tour and The Men's Olympic Golf Competition from Rio de Janeiro.

Week 119 - PGA Championship Review - Wanamaker for Walker

On the show this week, we review the final Major of 2016 with Jimmy Walker emerging victorious at The 98th PGA Championship from Baltusrol Golf Club, one shot ahead of the charging Jason Day who made a spectacular eagle on the 18th to force Walker to par, which he calmly did to become the fourth first-time Major winner of 2016.

And to wrap up the show, we preview The Canadian Pacific Women's Open on The LPGA Tour, The Aberdeen Asset Management Paul Lawrie Matchplay on The European Tour and The Travelers Championship on The PGA Tour.

Week 118 - PGA Championship Preview with Steve Bamford of Golf Betting System

On the show this week, we preview the final Major of 2016 with Steve Bamford of Golf Betting System. The 98th PGA Championship takes place at Baltusrol Golf Club, New Jersey. 

Barry and Steve have an in depth talk about the course, the weather, skills and attributes required, the field, who we think will go well this week, discuss the Golf Betting System bets for the week and why they were picked and have a look through the field to see if there are any juicy long odds bets to be found.

Week 117 - Peter Kostis Interview and The Open Championship Review

On a very special show this week, Barry had the pleasure of talking to Peter Kostis on the Sunday morning of The Open Championship. Peter is well known for his fantastic commentary on The PGA Tour for CBS, where we also get to hear his expert analysis of golf swings using the Konica Minolta BizHub SwingVision camera. Peter spoke to us about The Open, tips and advice for amateurs on various aspects of their games, changes to the game of golf, broadcasting and technology and a look forward to The Ryder Cup.

Barry and James also give their thoughts on one of the most phenomenal Open Championships and Majors' history with Henrik Stenson and Phil Mickelson going toe to toe for 36 holes over the weekend, with the powerful and scintillating Stenson emerging victorious at the end of a mesmerising battle at Royal Troon.

Week 116 - Open Championship Preview with Steve Bamford of Golf Betting System

On the show this week, we welcome back our friend and golf betting expert Steve Bamford of Golf Betting System to preview The 145th Open Championship from Troon.

Barry and Steve have an in depth talk about the course, the weather, skills and attributes required, the field, who we think will go well this week, discuss the Golf Betting System bets for the week and why they were picked and have a look through the field to see if there are any fairy tale bets to be found.

Week 115 - No Laying Up Irish Golf Trip Review

On the show this week, we leave our usual format aside to do a special combined podcast with Chris Solomon on No Laying Up, who recently visited for his first Irish Golf Trip, playing four magnificent courses in a whirlwind 48 hours.

Barry and Chris talk in detail about the four courses and how each is special in their own unique way. We alternated play between two links and two parkland courses: The Island Golf Club (which hosts an Open Championship Qualifier every year), The K Club Palmer Course (host of the 2006 Ryder Cup and the 2016 Dubai Duty Free Irish Open), Portmarnock (host of more Irish Opens and Championships than there is space to list) and Killeen Castle (host of the 2011 Solheim Cup). It was a spectacular weekend playing some of the best golf courses that the east coast and Ireland have to offer from its wealth of golfing riches - One that will never be forgotten.

Week 114 - Withdrawals, Qualifiers, Votes and Sweet Victories

On the show this week, we have an overview chat about No Laying Up's visit to Dublin last weekend (the full weekend will go out as a joint podcast), and our own course Glen of the Downs teeing it forward for competitions.

More Olympic withdrawals, Muirfield to hold another vote on female membership, the cancellation of The Greenbrier and The Open Qualifiers from this week including one of last year's headline players, our own Paul Dunne.

We look back on the events of last week - Lydia Ko continued doing what Lydia Ko does in winning The Walmart NW Arkansas Championship, Henrik Stenson was not so injured when he picked up The BMW International Open on The European Tour and Billy Hurley's wonderful win at The Quicken Loans National at Congressional on The PGA Tour.

And to wrap up we look ahead to the events of the coming week - The Cambia Portland Classic on The LPGA Tour, The 100th Open de France on The European Tour, The Barracuda Championship and on The PGA Tour and The WGC Bridgestone Invitational.

Week 113 - US Open Review - Johnson Dusts Off The Penalty

On the show this week, we look back on our amazing Pro Am weekend at the magnificent Carne Golf Links in the extreme west of Ireland in Belmullet, Co. Mayo.

We talk about Rory's withdrawal from the Olympics due to Zika Virus concerns and how it might cause a domino effect for other big names to withdraw.

And then to the big one - The 116th US Open. Dustin Johnson was the winner in sensational fashion, simply bludgeoning the course to death with his missile tee shots. Our own Shane Lowry came agonisingly close but couldn't find the right performance in the final round. We talk it all out and then hit the Rules mess with a vengeance. 

And to wrap up we look ahead to the events of the coming week - The Meijer LPGA Classic, The BMW International on The European Tour and The Quicken Loans National from the beast that is Congressional Country Club, where Rory dominated the field in the 2011 US Open.

Week 112 - 116th US Open Preview with Steve Bamford of Golf Betting System

On the show this week, we skip the usual format as it's a Major week and go all out with an in depth look at all things surrounding the 116th US Open from Oakmont.

Barry welcomes our good friend Steve Bamford of Golf Betting System to the show to break down all the aspects of the tournament - weather, course, field, who's in form, who should play well and have a chance at lifting the trophy after a brutally testing week.

Steve gives us his picks for the event and we talk about others in the field who could go well at this fearsome course.

We'll be back to our usual format next week with a quick review of recent events, The KPMG Women's PGA Championship, The Meijer LPGA Classic, The Lyoness Open, The FedEx St. Jude Classic, and then look at who won the US Open and how.

Also next week we'll be talking about our annual trip to one of our favourite courses in the world, Carne Golf Links in Belmullet, Co. Mayo to play in the Irish PGA Pro-Am.

Week 111 - Playing with Seve Ballesteros

On the show this week, Barry and James have a catch up on our own games after a visit to The Heritage in Portlaoise designed by the great Seve Ballesteros to play an Irish PGA Pro Am in aid of the Seve Ballesteros Foundation.

We have a quick catch up on the news of the week with US Open Qualifiers, a little Tiger as always and Inbee Park making the LPGA Hall of Fame.
