A Good Talk Spoiled Golf Podcast

We have a lot to talk about this week between Bob's visit to Florida, McIlroy's change of schedule, Ian Poulter criticising Faldo, Poulter's new equipment and Tiger's appearance fees. 

We look back on a very busy weekend of golf and look ahead to the crucial Perth International for the Irish golfers. We also preview the McGladrey Classic on the PGA Tour.

This week we have a very special guest on the show in Chris Solomon from NoLayingUp.com, one of the creators of the brilliant and hilarious #TourSauce which brings a whole new level of fun to golf.  We look back to the rain shortened Portugal Masters won by birdie machine Alexander Levy and Sang Moon Bae threw the form books in the fire with a win in the first event of the PGA Tour 2014/15 season, The Frys.com Open.  We talk about the new Futura X5 series of putters from Scotty Cameron and then look ahead to a week jam-packed with tournaments - The PGA Grand Slam of Golf, The VOLVO World Matchplay Championship, The Hong Kong Open and The Shriners Hospitals for Children Open.

Week 41 - The Calm After The Storm

This week we look back on the fairytale story of Oliver Wilson winning The Alfred Dunhill Links Championship and a good performance from many of the Irish Pros

We found an absolute gem when it comes to golf humour in No Laying Up's brilliant hashtag of "Tour Sauce" and realise that we all hilariously do everything the Pros do, only without the good shots.

We catch up on the Team USA Ryder Cup saga that continues to paint Tom Watson as the worst Captain in recent history.

And finally we look ahead to the sunny Portugal Masters and the beginning of the PGA Tour 2014-2015 season with the Frys.com Open from Napa, California.

This week we review the 40th Ryder Cup where Europe took home the spoils. 

We discuss Paul McGinley's successful captaincy, Tom Watson's disappointing time at the helm, the performance of both teams and Phil Mickelson's outburst after the event. 

We also have a quick look ahead to this weekend's Alfred Dunhill Championship in the European Tour. 

This week we discuss the latest news including the Rory McIlroy Foundation supporting The Irish Open, Nike's new golf clubs, the R&A admitting women to it's membership and then we discuss the Wales Open.

We also look ahead to the most entertaining event in world sport in the Ryder Cup. Who will win this year? What moments have captured our imagination and why is it the best TV event in the world?

This week we discuss the new Titleist SM5 Vokey Wedges, Paul Casey and the KLM Open, the Evian Chamionship and the influx of Koreans into the LPGA and The Tour Championship and Billy Horschel's fat wallet.

We then move onto an impromptu discussion about Ryder Cup pairings ahead of the Ryder Cup at the end of the month and finish off with a look ahead to the ISPS Handa Wales Open. 

This week we start off with a review of playing golf in Sweden. Bob was there playing over the weekend with Alan and we review the courses, Sweden as a golfing destination and highlight some of the things that are done very well. 

We review the Omega European Masters and David Lipsky's fine victory, the penultimate event in the FedEx Cup - the BMW Championship, Billy Horschel's call of nature and the trend of tired golfers and withdrawing golfers.

And finally, we look ahead to the KLM Open and the final event of the FedEx Cup - the Tour Championship.

This week we review the two Ryder Cup captain's wild card picks and discuss the quality of both teams. 

We review last week's events in the Deutsche Bank Championship in the FedEx Cup, look back on mad man Otto winning the Italian Open along with Stephen Gallacher's excellent performance to earn his wild card. 

We also look ahead to the Omega European Masters and the BMW Championship this weekend.

This week we look back on The D+D REAL Czech Masters, comfortably won by Jamie Donaldson to lock in his place on The Ryder Cup Team.  The FedEx Cup kicked off with a classy ball striking display from Hunter Mahan en route to winning The Barclays Championship.  We then have some Wild Card pick fun by stepping into the shoes of Paul McGinley and his Vice Captains to see what three players we'd pick for the European Team's defence of The Ryder Cup in Gleneagles in a few week's time.  We wrap up with a quick look ahead to last chance saloon for European Team automatic qualification in The OPEN D'ITALIA and the second event of The FedEx Cup, the Deutsche Bank Championship from TPC Boston.

This week we review the new Made in Denmark event and the end of the regular season Wyndham Championship. 

We discuss pace of play in clubs and what solutions are out there to combat slow play. We look forward to the D&D REAL Czech Masters and the beginning of the FedEx Cup with The Barclays, where the Top 125 will compete to get into the Top 100 for the next event.
