Thursday Jun 22, 2017
Thursday Jun 22, 2017
It's the review of the US Open from Erin Hills and the fantastic display of golf by another first time Major winner, Brooks Koepka. We talk about the total control he had of his game, his incredible ball striking and how he went out and grabbed the tournament. We also have a look at those who came close and those who totally tanked on a high variance course that presented a very fair challenge to the field.
We take a little time at the start to talk about our annual trip to play the Pro-Am at Carne Golf Links in Co. Mayo, the new PGA Tour drug system, the break up of one of the great pairs in golf - Phil and Bones, and the stellar success of Irish Amateur World Number 1, Leona Maguire.

Tuesday Jun 13, 2017
Tuesday Jun 13, 2017
It's US Open week and we're here to preview the 117th edition taking place at Erin Hills Golf Club in Wisconsin. We break down the golf course, an unknown to the vast majority of the field and identify the challenges faced by the players this week, what skills and attribrutes they'll need to put themselves into contention and what they'll need to avoid doing that could ruin their chances and the weather conditions they'll face. We then pull this all together into a few of our fancies for the week as well as talking about the big guns and some fairytale outsiders. It's always one of the most fascinating and story filled tournaments of the year, and this one promises no different.
For a detailed betting analysis of The US Open check out the Golf Betting System podcast where Barry joined betting expert Steve Bamford to talk about the course, the event and their picks.
